In this posture, Siddhartha Gautama, defeated Mara while meditating under the Bodhi tree and became enlightened.
His right hand touching the ground with all five fingers to call earth as a witness of overcoming fears, desires and realizing the ultimate truth.
On the back, another depiction of Lord Buddha meditating. This image is called 'Phra Somdej' in Thai and it is known as one of the most noblest poses in Buddhism and is believed to give good luck and protect whoever wears it.
This amulet is so beautiful, with fine details of the Buddha's face, wrinkles in his clothes, his hands and feet. Super detailed and just remarkably designed.
